All our eyes on the distant horizon.....

....well the guys and galls of Edinburgh Scouts and Guides, danced, sang, shuffled, bumped, wobbled and warbled there way around the boards of the Kings Theatre tonight.

Before I go on to heap great praise on another well produced and entertaining show, I have to admit to finding the recurring thread of political references a little unbalanced and the Benny Hill nurse in the hospital scene was just downright wrong for any audience, let alone kids. However, I'll forgive them a few lapses because it is strictly amateur. Those things aside, the kids loved it and I found myself smiling, clapping and signing along throughout. Not sure Mrs Scobes enjoyed it, but then she was trying to herd cats again.

Next year is the 50th season, looking forward to the perty now.

Edit: Press Review here. On of the interviewees is a mate of mine.
