Props to you if you recognize this guy.

Frank Warren. The "PostSecret guy". He came to our school today to give a talk, and it was incredible, beyond belief.
I've been following the blog for years now (www.postsecret.com) and I was always a big fan of the project, but the way he spoke to us gave me such a deep understanding of what the whole thing means.

His life's work is our secrets. The secrets that all people keep inside themselves and live with. They are his secrets too. They are all of our secrets. We share them because we are all human. We all have things that have humiliated us, things that make us laugh on the inside, things that are so dark and deep that we try to forget about them and never mention them again.

And then Frank tries to bring them out, and we all turn them into art, and they come together and form something so much bigger than just one secret.

There were people in the audience today who shared the most haunting secrets. "I was raped by my cousin for 6 years."

And then another young woman stood up and said "I was raped by my brother."
And another stood up and said "So was I."

It makes you realize that people are not so different after all.
