Along came a spider

Blipping is sometimes frustrating. I had so many great photos today and I could only choose one. In the end the choice was clear though.

We encountered this huge spider in the grounds of the Umong temple in Chiang Mai. It was about the size of my hand. I have no idea what kind of spider this is. I wonder if I was in lethal danger by getting close enough to take this photo :-)
