Trouble With Cows

Today I headed out to a cousin's farm where I had previously blipped the barn. They have a few head of cattle and so I was hoping for a good cow blip, but it did not work out. The animals were friendly, but not particularly cooperative. In fact, one actually licked the camera! However, I am digressing and will get a good cow blip in the future.

After my lack of success with the cows, I wandered their field looking for other options. I was shooting around lunch time so the sun was very bright making for strong direct light and shadows. This hay enclosure caught my eye. I liked the strong geometric lines and the clearly defined shadows. I also love the star effect of the sun which I first saw on this blip.

No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast and white balance.
