That's what these chaps remind me of.

O.k, they're not gulls with a penchant for savaging because you might look like a tasty hot chip.

They are corellas which migrate en masse from the Flinders Ranges during the summer months for cooler climes. Apparently.

Their numbers this year are huge, and the lovely old fella I spoke to tonight who has been here far longer than me, has not seen this many before. (& there is just the tiniest % in the blip)

A lot of the 'proper locals' detest them mainly for their:

a) Noise. You cannot hold a normal conversation with these guys present. You WILL have to SHOUT.
b) Uncanny ability to destroy the local environment.
c) They leave their crap everywhere.

Reminds me of the kids. I can't help liking them :-)
