Daffodil Days
In many parts of the country, this week and the next are called daffodil days. Local healthcare organizations sell daffodils to support to research, cancer care, and here in Albuquerque, hospice care. My brother has given daffodils for many years, ut I am a newcomer to it. We lost my mom to cancer 3 years ago a couple of weeks ago. I joined up with daffodil days soon after. I now get 200 daffodils and pretty much hand them out to the first 200 people I come across for the next couple of days.
Hospice was incredible during my mom's last days.
My brother gives out vases along with the daffodils, and I give some out too. I make them all. This is this years batch. They are all sighned IMJ, "in memory of Janet".
Since this is a backblip due to several days of food poisoning, I give thanks for the day I was given and the time I had with my father and mother.
