Mother Nature Pulls a Fast One

Yesterday, I was thinking about the beautiful the weather and that spring was upon us and today I awoke to snow yet again. The accumulation was about 3 inches or 8 cm, but still was enough to foul up traffic.

I decided to take advantage of the snow and take a traditional New England blip. This is a classic style of barn here in New England and I love the red color. It borders one of my frequent blip detours and I was waiting for the right opportunity to blip it. This was shot was taken on my way to work while the snowfall was at its heaviest.

I normally would have placed the barn directly in the center of the shot, but I am trying to be more cognizant of my composition and think that this is more interesting. I also like the multiple snow covered trees and the stone wall, but am wondering whether the protruding branches on the left are distracting.

Thank you everyone for your comments on yesterday's blip. I appreciate the feedback and suggestions as I focus (pun intended!) on improving my photographic composition.

No Photoshopping here, just basic saturation, contrast, brightness and white balance.

Constructive criticism always welcome.
