Went down to Birmingham today to give a presentation. I felt sad driving past the HP factory given that everyone who worked there was recently made redundant. The contraction of manufacturing in the UK is something that worries me - what will happen when we don't make anything anymore? I had been thinking of a blip rant on this subject but after 10 hours driving today, my brain has turned to candyfloss.
