We visited Cramond today after a little bird told us the sailing club would be lifting boats into the river. And so they were; a large crane was surrounded by a Yngling of hardhat clad Yachtsmen pointing and pulling on ropes as each boat was lowered into the River for the season.

There was an optimistic ice cream van parked on the foreshore but the brass-monkeys Northerly wind had reduced his custom to nil. Until I turned up...
