squirrel gymnastics

when i came home tonight i saw the nuts were swaying a little and assumed the blue tit had just been stuffing its face - oh no, it was a cheeky squirrel from the park! it ran up the washing line pole, l-e-a-n-e-d as above and stuffed its squirrel mouth with nuts, before jumping onto the windowsill to sit and eat. it rather reminded me of another bird food thief i saw recently, tho at least the squirrel was agile, unlike the dozy dove.

don't get me wrong, i do like the squirrels in the park, but those nuts are intended for starving ickle birdies! i have moved the pole and swapped the mesh nutbag for a proper bird feeder - i'll keep you posted...

(and yes, my window could do with a clean!)
