Steam Diptych

A *VERY* lazy day in the highlands today. The forecast overcast-ness arrived on cue so we didn't fancy anything outdoorsy after being spoilt with lovely weather the last couple of days.

So, a day of sleeping in, reading books, a late long lunch (we both thoroughly recommend the Mountain Cafe if you are up in Aviemore - above one of the mountain equipment shops - great burgers and cakes :-) ), an indulgant hour or so taking pictures of the station in Aviemore for me (the home of the Strathspey Steam Railway - I'm not a train spotter, but steam engines are pretty cool) and more reading for Mrs42.

We've just had a homemade dinner of morrocon stew and are now sitting listening to some classical music chilling out with the sounds of the water birds on the Spey out of the window ... ahhhhh.

A visit from Bri and the dogs tomorrow for some hill walking, so I need to go and plan a route.
