Loch Awe

The start of our anniversary weekend away (with the kids). We headed off at lunchtime, and managed to make it all the way to the Highlands without any burst tyres this time (though we did have to stop at Halfords when the wiper blade broke).

First stop: the Real Food Cafe in Tyndrum for wonderful fish and chips and millionaires shortbread. They're into organic foods, sustainability, recycling and all that good stuff - though the kids were more impressed by all the bird feeders outside with probably the fattest chaffinches I've every seen.

Next stop: Kilchurn Castle, at the top end of Loch Awe. Nice walk, cool castle. And no rain.

Finally: Back to Dalmally to our B&B. A typically friendly example - with four labradors to greet us.
