Lakes Day Three.

We made it up Striding Edge today. The wind was powerful but we managed to cross it without losing anyone. 5 whole minutes on Helvellyn before the heavens opened and we all got soaked. Top that off with a downpour of hailstones on the walk back and we were all dying to see the barn round the final corner.

We all crashed and had a nap before heading out to get a nice meal. First look at the menu and jumping out at us was a starter with the title 'bacon and black pudding tower'. Pretty perfect day if you ask me.
