Spooky Rock

Bass Rock, with its white icing of gannets, from a different angle. This is from the fossil beach near the Dunbar cement works. The beach was disappointingly light on fossils today - a shame given we'd gone there specially to search for some with our visiting 5 year old paleontologist.

Our visitors then headed south to explore Northumberland for the rest of their holiday. As always when visitors leave, the house felt rather quiet and dull. Still, at least it was a Gene Hunt night.
