wispy beastie
it's got the head of a seahorse (on the left), but something tells me it's a dragon with a heart of gold but a short temper...
another beautiful day, so of course i spent most of it indoors - i love the sun but can't take the heat, so unless i'm out and about doing something (pottering with the pots in the yard) or on hol and getting from a to b or wandering round looking at something then i tend to take the cool over the vitamin d-enhancement. i did get the summer wardrobe out though (couple of pairs of sandals, two pairs of longshorts, ditto crop trousers, all rather cargo-esque rather than cute summery. i don't do cute.) so those in edinburgh can expect rain, chill wind and grey skies for a couple of weeks now!
then i went to work. oh. dear. heavens. to get technical, the Q was at full screen from the minute i got in til 8.30, then another 45 mins of proof reading before i could take a break. in layman's terms, it was incredibly insanely busy. but this now is the norm as we're so short-staffed. i stopped querying confusions in facts that should go into stories and cut them out entirely we had so little time and i'm so incredibly uninterested in the job now. i want more work as i need the money, having just taken a 40% pay cut under the new regime, but tbh i'm not sure if i could do four days a week of this without being carted off to a psych ward.
no conversationalist to help take the strain :-( but i did nip home for a bit to get fresh air, exercise and out of the office, and spotted this cloudy affair above the parliament en route. shutter finger therapy: the rest of the night, tho busy, wasn't quite so grim.
