Fast & Furious

A nice day for standing in a field with 42, photographing young women (mostly) risk life and limb on a Pony Club cross-country course.

It looks like great fun, but like many things that look great fun, it is also insanely dangerous.

A few minutes before this I took this, another girl was carted off to hospital after being knocked unconscious (although all seemed to be well as she was taken away for a checkup).

The only risk to me however was standing in the middle of a field holding on to a long metal pole (my monopod) when the thunder started overhead...
