Pentland Hill Challenge day 5

Clearing showers and a warm wind sent me onto the Pentlands again after work. I followed an easy 6mile circuit above Nine Mile Burn and once again was home in time for tea.

On the way up the Monks' Rig, I came across this stone marked as The Font Stane on the map. Apparently it is the base of some long lost stone cross. By the number of coins in it, people obviously still feel obliged to make an offering.
