"I read the news today oh boy"

What a strange day it was. I went to the pool in the morning at about 12 and swam all day. Didn't get home until about 4, and that's when I saw on the Yahoo! homepage that Farrah Fawcett had passed away. I wasn't shocked considering her state at the end of the documentary that aired a few weeks ago, but it was still very sad. Anyhow, I got in the shower to get ready for work and as I was getting ready I turned the news on in my room. The 5:30 news came on, leading with breaking news: Michael Jackson had suffered cardiac arrest and was in the hospital. They hadn't announced his death, but cardiac arrest is never good. I had to be at work at 5:45, so I headed off, and not 10 minutes after I got there someone came to the hostess stand and told us that Michael Jackson had indeed passed away.

I know that many controversies came out of his life, but despite his personality, he was a great performer. That is why I chose Billie Jean as my second title, because that song is my favorite by Jackson as a solo artist. I love the Jackson 5's music and Michael's. He was a great performer in his heyday, and I truly hope that people can remember him for that.

RIP to both Farrah and Michael.
