Dancers

This is my niece Hope (on the left) and Tamsin with their very proud dance teacher (my friend Mary) at the Zetland Dance Festival at Grangemouth. This was championship day and at least some Scots did good. This was the first time Hope had qualified for the Little Miss Tap Championship and she made the final dance off (6 from 14) and came 5th. Tamsin a year older actually won the tap so is 2009 Tap Champion and also came 3rd in the ballet and song & dance (she's in her Eliza Dolittle costume) Hope is in her tap outfit.

Hope also won the overall in her section during the week. She got 3 firsts and a 5th. She was so overwhelmed with it all, she was very quiet on the way home but told her Mum she was so proud that she had made the final and amazed that she won a trophy.

The children are so supportive of each other. During the week while waiting to go on to do her ballet Hope ran round the stage to say well done to one of the others girls from the school who had just be placed in her tap dance.

Next dance festival in August so fingers crossed!
