Purple Gallinule

Mr. and I went out to the wetlands boardwalk again, about 5:00 PM, when it was a little cooler. And I hate to jinx my luck, but we always seem to see something new or interesting. We see these purple Gallinules occasionally, nowhere near as often as the common ones that are always around. This was the first time so close, and it also didn't mind staying for many photos- they usually run and hide.
By the last shots, the sun was behind huge thunderclouds, as a storm started blowing over and then chased us home.
