Poppy Seedling

This little poppy seedling has come up at the edge of the path to the herb garden. It's never had sunshine on it because it's on the south side of the raised thyme bed. In a few weeks the sun will come round.

I'll keep this one. Masses of seedlings have come up all over the garden. When it comes to poppies I'm very indulgent. Still, most of them must be removed. Sometimes I chicken out of pulling one from a really inconvenient spot and it turns out to be a beauty. I wonder what this seedling will become. Chances are it will be red, but you never know. Watch this space.
