"Sons of Sycamore"
Roger and I were at the baseball game again this evening, this time with a group of about 90 from our church. We were there to support the men's ensemble from our church, Sons of Sycamore, who were singing the National Anthem before the game. They did a great job and we were really proud of them. Better still, the Reds actually won. The last innings was a bit nerve-racking, as with the Reds having led much of the game 4-0, the Dodgers scored 2 runs and we were on tenterhooks, afraid they would get more! However, the Reds managed to hang on. At the end of the game there was a 15-minute firework display. Rain and storms had been in the forecast, but although we had some rain in the afternoon, fortunately the evening remained dry, and so a great time was had by all!
One year ago was another "ball" game, only that time it was football at Miami University, where we were cheering on Laura in the marching band!
