30 years (and a few days..)

just over 30 years ago, this pair stood in this very same spot and said their vows...
to have and to hold from this day forward,
for better or for worse,
for richer, for poorer,
in sickness and in health,
to love and to cherish;
from this day forward, until death do us part....

Today, we traveled up to Oldham in Manchester, to the church they got married in all those years ago, where family and friends, old and new, celebrated their 30th anniversary.
We watched a slide show of their life together, and they reminisced of 'the good old days' and generally had a lovely evening.
