Blast from a Childhood Past
Wow, I didn't realise that this was taken in the wee hours of the morning until I uploaded it! So Saturday night/Sunday morning it is.
Louisa and I went to the cinema with my little sis to see 'The Time Traveller's Wife' in the afternoon. I wasn't really looking forward to it as I loved the book and didn't see how a film could do it justice- plus I'm not Eric Bana's biggest fan - but I really enjoyed it. I think my fourteen year old sister thought we were mad though, a couple of thirty year old saddos sobbing at the end.
Mr Dazed had a band practise in the evening so Louisa and I went for dinner at La Favorita, which was yum, and then met up with Mr D and our good friend Lee who is visiting from his new home in Spain.
Lee got chatting to a chap at the bar who turned out to have been a part of a very cherished childhood memory of all of ours - Knightmare. For anyone that remembers - and if you were a kid in the 80s/90s you surely will - he played various characters in the show including the jester and Fidjit. I loved that show, in all its early greenscreen shonkiness.
Mr Dazed was especially thrilled, as you can see :)
