Define Imminent Please
Not wanting to harp on about this, but...
After last week's blip on this matter, I was hoping it would be the last I'd have to photograph the 1/43 model Fiat 500. I was really hoping I'd be posting a pic of the 1/1 version. But no, our car dealer obviously has another definition of the word imminent. To them imminent apparently means the car has arrived in the UK but it's in with 'hundreds of others' that all need paperwork sorted. No sh!t Sherlock. I think they must be using carbon copy paper and a blunt pencil to process these; you'd think in this financial climate they'd want to get their cars out to the customers with a bit of urgency.
The time delay's not so much an issue now, it's the lack of customer service that's really getting to me. I fired off an email last week after another promised telephone call was four days overdue, mentioning that I'd appreciate a reply by email rather than a phone call to update us. I think they may have guessed my reasoning for this was so that I had an email trail that would be more difficult to wriggle out of when challenged as this was this ignored also.
So I contacted their head office 2 days ago. Next day, a rather discourteous and short email arrives, Subject "Reply", no salutation, just a rather short paragraph that basically said they have no idea when the car will be here, and blaming the supply chain for them being unable to pass on any information, then signed off by the General Manager without any 'Regards', 'Yours...', etc. I think I may have upset them :-)
So, it might be a rather frosty handover when the time comes, I just get the feeling they don't really give a sh!t - which, as I pointed out to them completely flies in the face of their current advertising campaign.
82 Days and counting... (5 days longer than I've been blipping!)
