Seal Island

Today we drove from Glen Nevis to see friends in Lochaline on the Morvern peninsula. The journey involved a trip across Loch Linnhe on the Corran Ferry, then a drive on a narrow road through mountains and glens. Stunning journey and the weather, though dull, was a lot better than yesterday! Driving along the other shore of Loch Linnhe, we saw some seals basking and frolicking off a small island. Can't really see them in the photo as my zoom lens isn't strong enough. We could see them with the naked eye though, and Gracie enjoyed looking at them and the water below. Great day with my friends who have just built a house there in Lochaline - we hadn't seen them in almost a year, and it was great for Grace as she was reunited with a friend she used to go to music group with. We also got to meet the newest addition to the family, baby Rebecca, who was born five weeks ago and is a complete darling!
