Border Dispute

Greenfinches Chloris chloris

Greenfinches are secretive at this time of year. I rarely see one, but I do hear their delightful song. When I heard one this morning I stalked him with my camera. I snapped him singing and then preening himself. Suddenly another one appeared. The first bird held his position, screeching and fluttering his wings. The newcomer flew round him a couple of times without stopping. He was also screeching. I managed to get several shots of them, but I liked this one with the challenger in retreat.
