Early morning in the mist

In my 12 October post I already mentioned joining a course on landscape photography. This morning we had our first practical session. We planned to meet each other at restaurant 'Kaap Hoorn' at 7 o'clock in the morning.

At that time, the conditions seemed quite perfect, assuming the sun would break through the mist. This, however, never happend so we spent around 2,5 hours making mystic shots with all the mist, the water and the trees.

This picture is one of the first I took today, before sunrise. Personally, I like the emptyness of it.

Besides adding a little color saturation and the usual contrast/sharpness tuning, I did no post processing here.
