Christmas Cake - Part 2 (Feeding)
'Lazy' blip today. A continuation of yesterdays Christmas cake blip on the baking process.
The cake finally came out of the oven a bit past midnight. Today I start 'feeding' it with Brandy by the tricky process of poking holes in the base with a skewer and trickling Brandy carefully into the holes. Further to some of yesterdays comments I can confirm that the spirit of choice here is cheap Brandy, any more esoteric spirits (such as Talisker malt whisky) are reserved for drinking in this house! For those 'eagle eyed' blippers out there the Brandy is Tesco value brand.
At some point in the future I can probably get two more blips out of this subject, icing the cake and consuming the cake!
