Back to the Studio!

Tonight was the final class. I think i mentioned that I wasn't too happy with the course when I blipped last Saturday but it was death by Photoshop on Tuesday, along with some history of art thrown in at random junctures, which made for a fairly dull lesson in all honesty. Let's just say the front of my notebook was heavily doodled upon and serious exchanges of raised eyebrows were made.

So when the teacher emailed me about something else and casually enquired about that particular class, I took the opportunity to give some constructive feedback, safe in the knowledge that it wasn't just me that thought it. Sure enough two others said similar things before tonight's class and lo and behold, tonight's 'summing up'-in-the-cafe session became a full on studio set-up with lights, cameras and lots of action. It was exactly what we wanted and needed.

I took some portraits of my male model, and he liked one so much, he even said that he'd pay me for it (to give to his mum!) Maybe I'll let him buy me a drink instead. ;-) I liked only a couple that he took of me... not to say that his pics were bad - I clearly wasn't as relaxed in front of the lens as he was. We then played with glass and a few other props and I liked this one enough to blip.

And to cut to the chase - the teacher has offered us all an extra session (3hrs) tomorrow for more of the same, in an attempt to appease the disappointment. Which is all very well, but I'll have to miss part/all of it due to other commitments... Such is life.
