Spirit of Belfast

This is a giant sculpture 'The spirit of Belfast'
The spirit is, apparently, a Slinky given to a destructive two-year-old....Makes you think.
I liked it though and I liked Belfast. A bit like my home town there is a large dose of irreverence for such things, I don't know what the locals call it, but I heard another name for a statue; a woman holding a large metal ring symbolising peace a reconciliation.... known locally as 'the thing with the ring'!
I was going to do another photo of a great shopping centre that has been opened by aldomak had first dibs on it
