There's insomnia and there's staying up all night watching telly. Monday suffered as a result.
On the other hand, I saw a great docco about the muslims in Spain. They now reckon this may have been the birthplace of the renaissance. The muslims had translated, and added to, Greek mathematics, so the arabic numeral system was passed into Europe allowing the construction of incredible cathedrals. For a time there was a great deal of information sharing of this nature, but the history was suppressed in order to unite Spain as Christian.
...Then 'Scary Movie' came on... and I'm not talking about the Inquistion...
PS Not the first time i've snapped a lamp when I'm tired!
