Feeling Blue?

Not me! I had the day off today!
Still got a couple of weeks holiday left, doubt I'll get to use them all up!

Nipped into the office quickly, we are changing pension providers, and I had a meeting with them.

I think they were going on for just 30 secs before they mentioned ?with Profits"...zzzzz, I fell asleep...I just can't get excited by this stuff. Our new pension provider will give us access to our pension online so we can change our investments every other day. Who can be bothered with that!

In the afternoon, I started a bit of preparation for the decorator starting on Wednesday. I did log on today and found we had landed a nice £1M job that we werer chasing. Nice! Taht'll get us cracking into the new year.

OK - Friday competition. They've been too easy to date...so I've upped it just slightly (you're not already for quantum mechanics though yet!).

Following on from the statistics and probability questions the other night.

I take the aces from a pack of cards (two red, hearts/diamonds and two black, spades, clubs), shuffle them and place them spread out, face down.

If you pick out two of these cards at random, what is the probability they have different colours?

Easy!

There's the same number of black cards as there is red...and you'll either pick two of the same colour, or two of different colours.

So the chances of turning over two of the same colour are the same as turning over two of different colours!

So it's 50/50...easy!

(Or is it???????)
