Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

By Carol

Do You Know?

I'm wondering where to send a manila envelope filled with Christmas card envelopes that are addressed & stamped with postage so that they can receive a seasonal postmark. Does anyone know or have any possibilities?

In her wonderful little book Christmas Joy Susan Branch mentions mailing Christmas cards in a large manilla envelope to the post office in North Pole, Alaska 99705 or Santa Claus, Indiana 47579 or Christmas, Florida 32709.

I'd like to do that for my grandkids and a few special friends and I'm wondering if anyone else has ever done this and if it really works.

Susan Branch's little book is filled with wonderful holiday ideas and recipes.
I recommend it.

Can you tell that I'm getting quite excited about moving into the Christmas season? It was so difficult to stay inside today and grade student papers, but I did.

Soon I need to transform this home into a Christmas wonderland. Late this afternoon I brought my box of Christmas books out of the closet. So the wonderland here may just be happening little by little, starting with an ornament and a book of Christmas Joy! Oh the fun!

Our Christmas canvas is starting to reveal the coming holiday.
Good night from Southern California.

Edit update: See the comment below from ~electricglass -- great info about where and how to send Christmas cards to get that special postmark. Thanks ~electricglass.
