Reflecting....

on life and death and awareness.....

20 years ago today, my dear mother passed away....only 68 years old....very sudden, very unexpected....leads me to the thoughts of how fleeting life is....and how amazing and wonderful this day to dayness of a life is!

feeling somewhat reflective and joyful....after watching a special on tv about the Beatles....that takes me back so many years.....i can hardly believe that it is 45 years since their amazing music was so hot, so indelibly inscribed on my heart and emotions (i have to admit i was one of those hysterical young girls in the audience!)....such a powerful pull back in time....and then to be aware of the idea that this present moment is all that really exists! but.....there is memory, there is texture to the layers of feelings and thoughts that were present then....influencing the now.....i love this kind of revalery!

It's friday night, good food and good wine have been consumed ..... once again, all is good in my world!
