The small picture
The landscape scenery at the moment doesn't offer a lot in terms of striking beauty. That will change with the arrival of the first significant snowfall, which I will welcome. When it does, I'll try those extreme close-ups of snowflakes that I did last year but with some new tricks up my sleeve.
Meantime: in my travels around the www today, I came upon this tutorial, spent some time on the parent site (some fun stuff), duct taped together two lenses and shot my own microscopic looking version of two strands of cotton sewing thread.
The resulting shot reminds me a bit of forensic science.
