A Magical, Mystery, Miracle Moment
Today was the wedding of Jessica & Billy -- it was a spine-tingling, heart-warming moment. The preacher who officiated the ceremony has known her and her parents since she was a toddler, so the ceremony was accented with special memories. There were moments of laughter, moments of eyes filled with tears, and moments that just took our breath away. The bride was glowing. The groom was beaming.
We all knew that we had witnessed the mystery and the miracle of love. It was a magical moment--one that we wanted to freeze so we could linger in for a long time.
The reception was at a semi-private golf couse with beautiful Christmas decorations. A delicious meal of prime rib and chicken with yummy trimmings was enjoyed by all the guests. Oh, and did I tell you we had champagne . . . it was lovely. I love weddings and the wonderful afterglow.
Watching Jessica dance with her daddy to the song "I Loved Her First" is a memory I'll savor for a long time. Then the groom danced with his mom, and next the Bride & Groom danced while Jess's little boy, Zack, stood on the dance floor watching. The final solo dance was Jessica with her little boy Zack; tears rolled down my face as that little boy's family increased with a step-daddy who loves him so much and new step-grandparents who've never before had the thrill of grandchildren and they love Zack like their own. Wow!
It's been a lovely goose-bump day here in Dallas, Texas. I absolutely love weddings. Thanks for reading my Blip even though I've hardly had time to comment on others. I'll catch-up when the excitment wanes and the goose-bumps flatten.
Good night.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
