Post Scriptum: Being in the presence, just being

It is almost three years since her mother died. What was the outcome of the painful, but beautiful process of helping her mother to die?

She has learned about love, compassion and being in the presence. "The most valuable thing that a person can do to himself is learn to meditate" Dalai Lama says. This is what she is practicing every day. Practicing to connect with her deepest self.

The principle of the buddhistic moral is to help others, and if that is not possible, to avoid harming anyone. Helping others is helping ourselves. Just being, connecting to self, opens your heart to others. Being in the presence is appreciating life.

Today's photo is taken on Lauttasaari shore. The air temperature was -13°C and the sea water was about +2°C. That is why the mist is rising over the water.

P.S. Thank you all for your kind support and words, you have inspired me to create the series of photos, you gave me the idea!
