Modeling
Tonight, we were models.
The students at the high school that The Goose and I teach at pick an area of focus for their studies. For the most part it, it seems they either choose Liberal Arts, Science, or The Arts.
Today, the art-focused students asked The Goose and I if we could be their models to draw. We of course said we would love to.
We have never done anything like this before, and it was quite the experience. Sitting for 3 hours with breaks every now and then, students like the one blipped tonight worked so hard to draw us. We were the first foreigners they have had as models, so it was a pretty special night for them too.
They have a huge test coming up in January that basically determines whether they will get into an art school for university. They are extremely nervous for it and tonight gave them some more practice as they prepare.
Besides the students, one of the art teachers drew a wonderful portrait of The Goose and another painted an impressive portrait of me.
We will be taking home some of these portraits as they no doubt will be the best souvenirs we will ever have from our China experience.
