Glen Ample

Suitably kitted out in my new Christmas mountaineering trousers I wandered up Glen Ample with the idea of climbing Beinn Each. Managed to stray off course a bit and ended up below a steep, icy face 40 m from the summit. Would have done it if I'd been with someone but it's still there for another day. Snow was horrendous, very powdery with real uneven ground below it. Guess I could have traversed round to easier ground but decided to back off. Will be a nice easy summer hill for the kids.

Glen Ample really is it's name BTW, beautiful walk even if you don't fancy a hill climb, half way up Loch Lubnaig.
