Hogmanay...

....in the frozen north. The drive from Edinburgh yesterday had its moments with drifting snow at Glascarnoch being particularly tricky. Our wide tyres don't cope well with snow falling on ice. Friends of ours, Ian and Joe drove up with us to spend a couple of days in the family but-and-ben too.

Today was a glorious, blue sky affair, but the clear skies are sending the mercury dropping to -12 degrees C overnight and the water main is breached somewhere. The water company dropped-off supplies of drinking water, just in case it got worse.
