Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Feeding the Neighborhood . . .

. . . one pumpkin at a time! ;-)

Two days ago the squirrels discovered the leftover Thanksgiving pumpkins that had been decorating our backyard. All we had was the evidence of one thoroughly enjoyed feast.

Today, we weren't exactly invited to the feast, but we were allowed to photograph the gala event if we promised to keep our distance and to keep silent. So we did the best we could. But it was all quite exciting for this blipper.

So with my "point & shoot, cheapie" Nikon Coolpix (that has all the printing wearing off from being transported in my Levi pocket or inside of my purse), I clicked from inside the house, and then I crept ever so slowly out the patio door and closer to the pool and clicked and clicked and clicked.

Mr. Fun stood just inside the house with his iPhone clicking pictures of Rosie clicking pictures of the pumpkin feast.

Then I made the mistake of giggling and that squirrel threw down his fork, knife, and spoon, tossed his napkin in the air, and scampered for the meadowland.

Well, the feast has ended for this Saturday, but they'll be back, and they are hoping that we won't be home or at least won't be looking.

It's been a good day of doing nothing and enjoying it immensely! I did do one significant task, I made a variation of this and it was wonderful. So thank you ~beautifulblue for the idea.

Good night from Southern California.
