Fixed

This is a picture of the Hermod you won't see too often. Look at the strange rigging on portside crane. It suddenly has extra boomwires running to almost the foreship of the Hermod. What you see here is what we call : fixed or guyed mode, in proper Dutch: de bokstand. I explained before that the maximum capacity depends on your outreach, 100% can only be obtained when your boom is vertical. When you boom down, you also decrease your maximum capacity. This can be cheated by creating another strong point for your boomwires. Half of the boomwire bundles can be removed from the black A-Frame and shifted to a position more foreward. In this way you are creating extra lifting capacity, lots of extra capacity. The only disadvantage is that you're crane is really fixed now, it can not not slew anymore as you will understand. Hopefully we can start with the heavy lift soon, we're ready for it.
