Nasty Stuff

At first glance what looks like a stone trough for plants is actually a very harmful polystyrene box. Polystyrene does not biodegrade, so actually extending its life by making something useful out of it, puts it to far better use than helping to fill a landfill site somewhere. With a wire brush, hot air gun and some paint you can create a lightweight trough that insulates your plants brilliantly from the worst of the weather.
