My FAVORITE JOB

A friend, that does book cover designs for Wild Rose Press told me in March of last year, 'there is an opening for a cover artist and I gave them your name'. My initial feeling was a WAVE of illness. My second reaction was HOW EXCITING! Well, I got the job, if you can call it a job. It is a second job, no consistency really. But currently I have two covers and a FULL (as you see above) that means the front cover is done and now I add the spine and the back.
From March until now, this is only my second FULL that I have done, you don't get paid until they start selling after the full is complete and they actually either print it, or make it an ebook. None of them have gone to press yet, but the fulls are almost there. As the artist, I will receive 2% of the sale price. So it is obviously, not about the money and a better quote "DON'T QUIT YOUR DAY JOB" fits here too. These covers from start to finish take hours. But I have to admit, it is a blast. I love it!!! Maybe one day, I will get picked up by a big publishing company. Until then, it is my second job, my favorite job!!!! :)

Gotta go...I was up late working on the computer, now it is off to my day job!!!!
