Eindhoven - Day 1

Most of Monday spent travelling from Heathrow to Eindhoven in the deep south of Holland. BA (Bastard Airways) conspired to delay us by at least three hours at T5, adding to the misery by changing our seats three times and splitting our group of four up to different parts of the plane. Truly they cannot get any worse following recent experiences of them...

Eventually made it to Schiphol, onto the train to Eindhoven, and at last at nearly 7pm we walked through the doors of our delightful 4* hotel near the ring road, near nothing except a supermarket and some very odd shops. Alas they must have bought three of those stars on eBay, because this was an Alan Partridge style travel tavern of the highest order - liberal amounts of green paint, sagging mattresses, dated furniture. Still, 'Sandwich Willy' cheered us up on the way into town for a (very good) dinner.

And I thought travelling for work was always glamourous... the week could only get better?
