Treasure
At last we've found our old mushrooming spot and this treasure was waiting for us. Loads of nice Chanterelles, an Orange Birch Bolete as a extra and a nice afternoon out. The secret spot had around 30 varietys of edible fungus but I'm only confident about four types but that's enough for a real feast.
The plan was mushrooms with saffron and brandy sauce served in a ring of steamed rice, but there was no cream to be had in the village for love nor money - culinary disaster! So we've put it off untill tomorrow.
