The People's Palace

Got up very late this morning as the party went on into the wee hours. After doing the remainder of the tidying and cleaning we went to pick Orla up from Barbegs then went into Glasgow for lunch.

Anne had been recommended a place called West Brewery Bar in the old carpet factory building by Glasgow Green. It was really good. A great interior and there was a piano and double bass playing live. We both had burgers which were fantastic.

Then we strolled over to the people's palace. There's a huge fountain outside that Orla pointed at and said "bath!". She liked the winter garden. I thought it was very relaxing inside, sitting on the benches with radiators underneath, looking at all the tropical plants. It was the first time I had been. We'll be back soon I imagine.
