Blipstar II
I have blipped this blipstar before, but never seem to be able to get a good shot of him! Probably too intimidated by the two blippers in the house! Lovely visit over to see them all together, with the newest addition to their family who was a sleepy, smiley, perfect angel. Great to see you all, guys.
Apart from that delightful outing, it was a remarkably dull day. I managed to do almost nothing, which is pretty easy here as the kids are kept busy by a series of activities:
- looking at the sheep
- looking at the horse
- visiting the farmer's dogs
- looking at a dead sparrowhawk in a box*
- investigating two dead moles, one dead mouse and one dead magpie
My activities were mostly related to sitting at the kitchen table, reading the Sunday papers and gratefully accepting any food or hot drinks anyone put in front of me. Holidays always end up with me being a little underslept, and today was a good tonic. Tonight is all about watching the Ski Cross at the Olympics. Compulsive viewing.
* This activity was supposed to be "watching the concussed sparrowhawk, rescued by Granddad and put in a box in a warm place to recover, fly away". Still, I'm sure they learned a practical lesson today about head injuries, which hopefully goes beyond "don't fly into windows" and extends to "don't swing backwards on chairs on hard slippery floors".
