Must see No.8

Visited the newly refurbished Pier Arts Centre in Stromness today.

I had a sneak preview earlier in the year of the building without the collection. Then I was blown away by the wonderful merging of a new modern extension with the old building. Today I was astounded by the collection. I think it's a modern art collection that any city in the world would be proud to have. Made all the more amazing by being in a small town at the very edge of Europe.

As you can see it wasn't just me that was intrigued by the art. Both the boys really enjoyed the visit. Here, Ruairidh was totally absorbed by a short animated film.
